Well...I am still not any better about posting....but I am going to keep trying. I am 30 weeks pregnant now. Which means...10 week countdown until d-day! OMG!!!! That's all I have to say. So...much has been happening......let me see where to start.
1. It's a girl!!!
2. I went on a four day ACTS retreat and it renewed my faith. I was so blessed to meet such wonderful people and get the fulfillment in spirit that I have been missing.
3. My nephews graduated high school. Fabian Jay Ybarra from Weslaco High School and Gilbert Villanueva Jr. from Karnes City High School. I am soooo proud of these handsome boys and very proud of their parents.
4. The baby knows how to "bust a move". In other words....I feel her movement very well now. It is really something that you have to go through to fully understand. She takes my breath away somtimes. Eddie has a way with her already. He can speak to her and tell her to "kick mommy" and she will listen. He actually started to tell her "one...two...baby....one...two". So the baby no longer does single kicks.....she now kicks or punches with her right and then her left. Eddie is teaching her to fight .....me!!! I feel more kicks on the left side of my stomach. Maybe she will be a "leftie" like daddy?
5. I had a wonderful baby shower in the valley that was hosted by my beautiful mom. She did a great job. The food was amazing and cake and cookies were delightful. She worked so hard to make the party a success. And it was. I love my mom....so much for EVERYTHING she has done for me, my baby and my whole life.
6. We hosted an adult sleep over. That sounds kinda wierd....let me re-phrase that. We had mandy and chris and cerise and joey over for a weekend. We stayed up late, played games and ate junk food. Just like teenagers. It was so fun....to be so carefree.
7. Eddie and I went to see COLDPLAY last night. It was the most amazing concert. COLDPLAY put on a very good show. We recorded a lot of the songs on our camera. We never want to forget how much fun we had. So...our baby went to her first concert "in utero". We love music and we hope she loves it too.
8. Belly is growing overnight. Bellybutton is trying to become an "outtie". Eddie is scared of the bellybutton.
9. Everytime Eddie cuts the grass....it rains!!!!!
10. House is being taken over by the baby....everywhere you turn...there is baby stuff....Who does this baby think she is? (just kidding....we love you baby)
*I met this lovely lady this weekend who begged me to cherish my little girl. She explained how kids grow up sooo fast. And that we get carried away with life and work that we miss out on the childhood of our children. This lady was sooooo sincere. I hope I can take the time with my baby...and I pray that everything goes well. She also explained the neccesity of writing things down. Because you will forget some of those small details of the most special events. So with this lady's advice....i am really going to try to blog more.*

Halfway Point...
Well, it is week 20 of this crazy journey called pregnacy. As you can see my memory is still not quite as good as I would like it to be. The last entry I posted, I recall stating that I would post more frequently. I have not. But I am really trying. I am actually feeling pregnant now. I have a belly. I feel the little flutters of the alien inside me. It is really a wierd feeling. Kinda like someone doing "spirit fingers" inside your stomach. I don't feel them very often yet. And they happen mostly when I am at work. I am hoping this means that the baby is going to be AWAKE in the working hours and ASLEEP in the actual sleeping hours. I have another appointment on friday. At this appointment we SHOULD see boy/girl parts....so I will post the news ASAP!
Recently we went to Monday Night Raw in San Antonio and had a blast. Lots of hot and sweaty half naked wrestlers to watch. We are trying to squeeze in as much fun as we can right now, before we add our extra De La Garza. That's all for now. I am watching an episode of LOST and Eddie is nesting...i think. He is working outside staining our fence, and he has lots of plans to landscape the yard.
adios,

12 weeks and counting...
So....I thought I would be better at posting blogs. But...along with pregnancy comes memory loss. REALLY...I don't remember a lot of things these days. I have not posted recently because I could not remember my password for blogger. So after several password attempts...I finally got it.
Yesterday I had an Obstetrical appointment. Eddie was able to get off work and come with me, so I was super excited. I had an ultrasound done...a REGULAR one!! Yup...no action for me...YAY. It was a regular pelvic ultrasound. Our baby was so cute. He/She was waving at us. At one point it looked like it was DANCING. Waving his/her arms around in the air. I guess all that American Idol and Rock Band that we have been playing is really sticking to our baby! We are very excited. Eddie swears that we are having a boy. I am kinda leaning towards girl...because the baby's heartbeat is staying in the 160 bpm range. But whatever happens we will be thrilled. The next ultrasound will have boy/girl parts to report. That will be in April at my 20 week appointment. So if anyone has any guess....feel free to let us know.
As for symptoms.....so far....NO MORNING SICKNESS!! I am just tired ALL THE TIME. But I am NOT complaining. I would rather be sleepy than hurled over the toilet. Prenatal vitamins not only make your hair on your head and your fingernails grow....but also....the hair everywhere else. I feel like a big hairy monkey. But...Eddie is great to me. I love him so much. I will try to post more frequently!
