So.....I thought I was dying! I was supposed to start my period somewhere around December 2nd. I did not! I took urine pregnancy tests at work and they were all negative. I took like 5 of them. One on December 1st, another one on December 2nd, another on December 3rd, etc......(you know where I am going with this) Anyway...On Friday December 5th I had some blood work done here at work. This lab was everything....because I thought I was going to die! So we were checking my thyroid, my blood count, my hormone levels, and we did a serum pregnancy test just for fun. Well I am not dying, I am just pregnant....YAY!!!!
I am seeing Dr. Susan Rivera in San Antonio. She is extremely nice and I really like her. I had an appointment on December 9th with her. I had an ultrasound done, but we could not see anything yet. But I do have a nice cyst! She ordered lab on December 10th and 12th. This lab was for a quantatative HCG level and then repeated in 48 hours . This was being checked to see if the pregnancy was progressing. Well the numbers did go up, which was great news. I was really nervous about it. I am already in love with something that I don't know is really going to be okay...does that make sense? Eddie was so calm about everything....except when he saw the stirrups in the doctor's office and then I told him that those were for him. He nearly passed out. So I have a followup appointment with the doctor tomorrow. Hopefully we see a little gestational sac...and hopefully just one!! So I will blog soon with good news!!
